School Seal

The  seal of Southern City Colleges epitomizes the school's pedagogical role as embodied in its vision and mission.  It is designed after its lofty ideals to enrich culture through the cultivation of thoughts.

The Circular Scalloped Edges represent the eight divisions of Region IX (Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Dapitan City, Dipolog City, Pagadian City, and Basilan).

The Green Circlet that bears the name of Southern City Colleges stands for the goal to mould and to develop the holistic personality of the individual.

The Core that contains the six (6) stars symbolizes the courses (Commerce, Secretarial, Education, Typewriting and Stenography, Liberal Arts and Engineering) in the early 60's and 70's.

The Torch signifies knowledge and wisdom, which can be best attained through education.  Its flame means the school's ardent pursuit for quality education to free the youth from shackles of ignorance; while the rays indicate that education is for all regardless of beliefs, color, and ideologies.

The Wing represents the aspiration to soar high as it aims to put flesh to dreams; while the wheel represents power that drives the whole institution in the attainment of the school's vision and mission.

The Vinta represent Zamboanga City and the various cultural communities of South Western Mindanao.  The line means the long history of struggle and success of Southern City Colleges since its inception in 1946.

Green refers to hope and continuous progress for the youth whom the school places at the center of the educational process.

Golden Yellow signifies success and achievements the school envisions for all those who come and make Southern City Colleges a partner on their educational journey.
