The Basic Guidance and Counseling Services


1. Counseling

It is a service wherein the Guidance Counselor assist individual students or a group toward better understanding of themselves and their environment. The Counseling services offers: Individual Counseling Group Counseling Peer Counseling .

2. Individual Inventory Service

This service pertains to the activity of gathering data about the students to enable the counselor understand the student better before counseling is conducted. It is a cumulative record of personal, family and educational data.

3. Career Development Program

This service takes care of assisting students in their career decision-making from knowing their abilities and potential, providing information regarding different courses and offerings and employment opportunities.

4. Information Service

This service makes available to the students certain kinds of information not ordinarily provided through classroom instruction. It aims to give important facts concerning personal, social and educational adjustment. It includes the workshops, seminars and community extension services.

The programs and Services of the Guidance and Counseling Office are open for all SCC students.
