Vision

The Southern City Colleges Computer Studies Department envisions itself to be the leading in Computer Education in Zamboanga Peninsula and neighboring regions, that shall uphold the advancement of technical skills and knowledge in mobile application and software programming, multimedia publishing, data networking, computer hardware servicing by keeping abreast with IT/BPO industry needs within the next 5 years.

Mission

The Department of Computer Studies is a premiere educational venue offering ladderized programs leading to Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Information System to produce ethical, confident and competent IT professionals through quality performance, technical innovation, industry-based certification, research oriented and outcome based learning.

Specific Objectives

  • To increase student enrollment by 20% annually over the next 5 years
  • To apply two (2) additional TESDA accredited Assessment Centers and Accredited assessors and trainors under the Information and Technology Communications every year over the next 5 years.
  • To acquire faculty members with appropriate master's degrees to teach all ITE professional subjects in the department.
  • To immerse the students in practical IT work training, graduating students in practicum shall be trained through a work-based training with partner industries with MOA.
  • To enhance the technopreneurship, critical thinking and research ability of students, Capstone projects and research work shall be geared towards the creation of a new technology and innovation of business processes which shall be presented in a public forum every end of the school year.
